Boycott ends on assurance of officials

In Dharampur at 8.49 the first vote was cast by Gandhi Singh and the second vote was cast by Pradhan Santosh Singh. Here the villagers demanded that a road be built, but due to the road not being built they boycotted the vote. On getting information about this, ADM Judicial Prabuddh Singh, ADM Revenue and Finance Arun Kumar along with Additional Superintendent of Police Kaushambi held talks with village head Santosh Singh and started the voting.

Not a single vote was cast in Hisampur Madho till 8.30 pm.

There are 1360 voters at booth number 315. Villagers of Sirathu Tehsil Gram Sabha Hisampur Madho booth number 315 boycotted voting. Not a single voter voted till 8.30 pm. Villagers have been protesting against voting for a month. Villagers have not settled, no one is ready to become an agent, there is no solution. So there was no voting. Magistrate Indradev informed that not a single voting took place till 8.30 pm.

Kaushambi Loksabha Chunav Live: Voting continues for Kaushambi Loksabha, long queues formed at many booths since morning

Voting for Kaushambi parliamentary seat in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections has started at 8 am. Voting has more or less started on time amid minor disturbances. There was some delay in voting due to some EVM malfunction at some centres, but the Sector Magistrates have started the voting by providing other EVMs. Long queues are being seen at many centers since morning. There are five assembly constituencies under Kaushambi Lok Sabha seat. This includes three Manjhanpur (reserved), Chail and Sirathu falling under Kaushambi district, apart from two assembly seats of Pratapgarh, Kunda and Babaganj (reserved). Here, a direct contest is being considered between BJP and SP candidate of India Alliance.
